Meet a Changemaker: Rebecca Helen Falzon, Volunteer Lead & Strategic Support, E6 Sisters & Co-Chair, Skate Newham and Rainbow Garden
Rebecca, born and raised in Newham, has dedicated over a decade to serving her community through grassroots initiatives. From volunteering at food banks during maternity leave to co-leading E6 Sisters and Skate Newham and Rainbow Garden. Through her volunteering roles she addresses key social determinants of health like food security, mental wellbeing, social inclusion, and youth empowerment. With deep roots in Newham and inspired by her mother and father’s legacy of care, Rebecca supports families, mentors young volunteers, and collaborates with local schools, businesses, and community partners. Her commitment is driven by the belief that “it takes a village to raise a child.” She involves her own children in volunteering, hoping they grow up surrounded by role models and a strong sense of community.
