Meet a Changemaker: Funmy Adeojo, CEO & Founder, E6 Sisters
For 20 years, Funmi has been a passionate advocate for her community in Newham, raising her children while dedicating 18 years to education. As an EYTS Teacher, she saw firsthand the challenges families faced and became committed to helping people become self-sufficient. During the COVID-19 lockdown, she recognised that many were struggling with food insecurity but felt ashamed to seek help. Determined to change this, she founded E6 Sisters, a community-led food pantry that ensures dignity and choice. Through her leadership, it has grown to support over 1,000 individuals, offering not just food but also cooking classes, skills training, and life workshops. Funmi’s vision is to expand her impact, ensuring that no one in her community has to struggle alone.
