Windrush 2024: The Rites of Passage programme
The Windrush 2024 Rites of Passage funded programme has so far engaged 770 residents including primary school children and senior residents.
There is still plenty to come in July and August including the Film and Feast programme – please encourage senior residents you work with to book on to upcoming Caribbean cooking workshops led by the student of Rights and Equalities in Newham (REIN) on 19th July and 9th August.
Sakafet London will be hosting a week long Caribbean Creole Culture Dressmaking course (5th-9th August) at Canning Town Library. Places are available on the course for local aspiring designers aged 16+.
